We pride ourselves in beautifully kept ales
We pride ourselves in beautifully kept ales including
Norfolk’s finest Woodfordes Wherry, John Smith’s Cask and ever–
changing ‘Guest Ales’. Keg beers include Theakstons Best Bitter and John
Smith’s Extra Smooth and a great selection of Lagers.
All sorts of (legal) things change hands at the Bell – from fresh eggs to freshly caught local
seafood and a huge variety of trades are represented so, if you need a plumber, a builder, a lawyer or a
computer expert to name a tiny few, you’re bound to find one here to give you some advice.
The Hempton Bell is always full of ‘wits’, both half or complete, so expect to hear raucous laughter
ringing around the bar, generally at someone else’s expense. You may be included so be warned –
but it will only be in fun!
Fun is what you make it but to help there are always some old pub games that are played
regularly. ‘Dommies’, Crib, ‘Shut the Box’, Chess, ‘Pokey Die
’, Pool and darts – get involved or just watch & listen, you’ll have
fun either way.
The Hempton Bell is a place where lifelong friendships are born and any visitor will feel that
atmosphere instantly. If all the pubs in the world were like the Bell there would be no such
thing as counselling as that’s what friends are for – the advice might be rubbish
but it takes your mind off the problem!
